Time to ‘Clean House’ in Washington: New book indicts a system gone rogue

When the government “of the people, by the people, and for the people” turns against the people, the nation is in imminent danger, writes Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton in his new book, Clean House.

Clean House draws on released documents and emails to paint a vivid picture of an Obama administration immersed in deception and shrouded in secrecy.

It lays bare the innermost machinations of a corrupted IRS denying tax exemptions to Tea Party activists and other patriotic Americans (including those who simply wanted to “make America a better place to live”) in order to help assure Obama’s reelection.

It pulls back the curtain on the Obama/Clinton Benghazi cover-up, providing full documentation of how the “offensive video” cover story was conjured up in the Oval office. And it breaks open the case of how Hillary Clinton used her non-state.gov email account to oversee a State Department/Clinton Foundation nexus for converting public largesse into private gain.

In short, Cleaning House is a searing indictment of a system gone awry.

As Fitton observes in a chapter entitled “Hillary Clinton’s Private Email Cover-Up”:  “What we’ve learned thus far is astonishing. The documents are a bombshell and show how the Clintons turned the State Department into a racket to line their own pockets… That the former president trotted the globe, collecting huge speaking fees while his wife presided over U.S. foreign policy, is an outrage.”

Turning his attention to illegal immigration, Fitton weaves a tale of a meticulously orchestrated Obama entrada to obliterate America’s southern border, provide stealth administrative amnesty, and hand out billions of dollars in government benefits to millions of illegal aliens.

Clean House provides chapter and verse of how the Obama administration used the full spectrum of government alphabet agencies – DHS, ICE, the DOJ, and more – to implement his plan for erasing the last vestiges of American sovereignty.

It is not just the vast numbers of illegal aliens that Obama embraced and sponsored (at taxpayer expense), but the nature of the alien invaders as well, that is both undermining the country’s culture and recklessly endangering Americans’ lives and limbs. Writes Fitton:

“The documents uncovered by Judicial Watch showed that DHS officials misled Congress and the public about its implementation of a new policy that resulted in the dismissal of multiple deportation cases against illegal alien criminals convicted of violent crimes… As of April 2014, DHS had actually released 165,900 convicted criminals, including murderers, kidnappers, and aliens convicted of aggravated and sexual assault.”

With a pivotal presidential election only ninety days away, the Clean House chapter on “Voter Fraud” is particularly revealing – and alarming. Reading it, one is invariably reminded of Ronald Reagan’s prescient warning in in 1961: Freedom is a fragile thing and never more than one generation away from extinction.  It must be fought for, protected, and handed on, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”

As Fitton detail in a page-turning tour of states nationwide, that fragility is particularly acute when the U.S. government is helping lead the assault on election integrity.

In Pennsylvania, the Obama-Holder Justice Department refused to prosecute New Black Panther Party members who stood in the doorway of a polling place, brandishing a nightstick and intimidating voters.

In North Carolina, it mounted a massive legal assault on voter ID. In Florida, it filed a lawsuit to prevent the state from removing 53,000 dead voters from the roles. And nationwide, as Clean House reveals, “… the Justice Department refused to enforce Section 8 of Motor Voter, which mandates that states make a reasonable effort to clean up the registration rolls by removing those who have moved or died (“list maintenance”).

It would be nice to say that Clean House reads like a suspense novel. But, unfortunately, it does not. Because no matter how disturbing, alarming, and frightening a novel may be, you know that the danger ends at the denouement.

But, the dangers painstakingly enumerated, footnoted, and substantiated in Clean House – whether involving IRS targeting, government-sponsored illegal immigration, voter fraud, the deadly Benghazi cover-up, Hillary Clinton’s email duplicity, or the Fast & Furious scandal that has already cost hundreds of lives – do not evanesce at the book’s culmination.

They continue even today, metastasizing in their malignancy. And that is why Clean House is a must read for those who do not wish to spend their sunset years, “telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”
