Completely devoid of any self-awareness whatsoever, these progressive activists thinly disguised as journalists instinctively <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JimmyGomezCA\/status\/1749897237453267019\">leaned on<\/a> statist <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BarbaraLeeForCA\/status\/1749973161054241031\">officials<\/a> of the ruling establishment to tell the American people just how important they are.<\/p>\n<p>As has been widely reported, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/environment\/newsletter\/2023-03-09\/white-drivers-are-polluting-the-air-breathed-by-l-a-s-people-of-color-boiling-point\">ludicrously woke<\/a> Times on Jan. 23 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cjr.org\/the_media_today\/death_washington_bureau_local_news_la_times_layoffs.php\">let go<\/a> 115 employees. That amounts to more than 20 percent of the news staff.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_131710\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-131710\" style=\"width: 425px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-131710\" src=\"https:\/\/www.worldtribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/apbld.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"425\" height=\"274\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-131710\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">In a more honest age, there would be a word that fits this: propaganda.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The blending of an allegedly once-independent major media apparatus with the dominant political status quo is fact in America today. It&#8217;s not difficult to document. The total abandonment of journalistic ethics becomes more pronounced with each passing day.<\/p>\n<p>In December, The Bill &amp; Melinda Gates Foundation <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gatesfoundation.org\/about\/committed-grants\/2023\/12\/inv-004582\">bestowed<\/a> a lavish $1,829,815 grant on the Associated Press, the leading news wire service in America. The check was cut \u201cto deepen AP\u2019s reporting on Africa, and to amplify the work of scientists and experts innovating in the areas of global health and development.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For those even the least bit familiar with the Microsoft co-founder&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldtribune.com\/columnist-bill-gates-messianic-plan-to-control-the-world\/\">global endeavors<\/a> to promote vaccines, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldtribune.com\/documentary-exposes-plan-by-who-to-reduce-global-population-via-vaccines\/\">population control<\/a> and other \u201chealth\u201d ventures, the implications could not be more clear: Bill Gates is purchasing positive coverage of his \u201cphilanthropic\u201d efforts in Africa.<\/p>\n<p>Gates has very good reason to support AP. It has <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/bill-gates-foundation-africa-vaccines-mrna-institut-pasteur-biovac-fa28c0502925a4152df1709cc8f228fe\">vigorously backed<\/a> his work in Africa in so-called \u201cnews articles\u201d and even defended criticism of him in the name of <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/fact-checking-339899987112\">fighting<\/a> \u201cwidely shared disinformation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>How\u2019s that $1.8 million investment paying off? Check out the lead sentence of this Jan. 25 AP <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/bill-gates-melinda-billionaires-foundation-dc2b102b427c18e585659e7546c1d69d\">article:<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>The CEO of the Bill &amp; Melinda Gates Foundation has a message: Hey billionaires, give away more of your money to address inequality and do it soon.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Displaying a truly brazen disregard for the appearance of compromise, AP interviewed Gates Foundation CEO Mark Suzman, using his words to give the most sunny account possible of its financial benefactor:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>\u201cWe are doing exactly what my call to action is,\u201d Suzman said in an interview with The Associated Press. \u201dAt a time of great need, if there is an opportunity to expand our giving, we should be modeling what that looks like.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s OK, though, because AP acknowledges it is owned by the subject of its \u201creporting\u201d in a one-sentence disclaimer in paragraph 13:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>The Associated Press receives financial support for news coverage in Africa from the Bill &amp; Melinda Gates Foundation.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s an actual X post from the &#8220;philanthropy editor&#8221; of the Associated Press \u2013 if you thought his desk was about investigating these super-wealthy foundations, you thought wrong:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Why <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/gatesfoundation?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@gatesfoundation<\/a> CEO is asking billionaires to give it away, give it away, give it away now. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/philanthropy?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#philanthropy<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/bmIztqeBhy\">https:\/\/t.co\/bmIztqeBhy<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Glenn Gamboa (@GlennGamboa) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GlennGamboa\/status\/1750522177877578201?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 25, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>But it\u2019s not just Gates. A list of Associated Press <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ap.org\/discover\/Supporting-AP\">donors<\/a> found on the AP website is eye-opening.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCurrent philanthropic supporters\u201d include the Obamacare-promoting Robert Wood <a href=\"https:\/\/www.influencewatch.org\/non-profit\/robert-wood-johnson-foundation\/\">Johnson Foundation<\/a>, the notoriously progressive establishment media-backing John S. and James L. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.influencewatch.org\/non-profit\/john-s-and-james-l-knight-foundation\/\">Knight Foundation<\/a> and the globalist powerhouse <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldtribune.com\/ap-sells-its-code-of-journalism-ethics-to-the-rockefeller-foundation-for-750000\/\">Rockefeller Foundation.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cPast philanthropic supporters\u201d include Columbia Journalism School, Google News Initiative and the Facebook-funded <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldtribune.com\/salt-lake-tribune-editor-has-full-editorial-control-dont-make-captive-readership-laugh\/\">Lenfest Institute.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>So much for unbiased coverage of Ivy League academia, Big Tech or the moneyed powers that be on the global stage today.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAssociated Press coverage of philanthropy and nonprofits receives support through the AP\u2019s collaboration with The Conversation US,\u201d reads a tag at the end of the gushing Jan. 25 report on the Gates Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>What is that?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are a nonprofit, independent news organization dedicated to unlocking the knowledge of experts for the public good,\u201d The Conversation <a href=\"https:\/\/theconversation.com\/us\/who-we-are\">explains<\/a> on its website. \u201cWe publish trustworthy and informative articles written by academic experts for the general public and edited by our team of journalists.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a more honest age, there would be a word that fits this: propaganda.<\/p>\n<p>The mission of The Conversation US amounts to nothing more than elevating expertism to its rightful lofty perch above the riff-raff that is the common citizenry:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>The Conversation arose out of deep-seated concerns for the fading quality of our public discourse and recognition of <strong>the vital role that academic experts could play in the public arena.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>Information has always been <strong>essential to democracy<\/strong>. It\u2019s a societal good, like clean water. But <strong>many now find it difficult to put their trust in the media and experts<\/strong> who have spent years researching a topic. Instead, <strong>they listen to those who have the loudest voices<\/strong>. Those uninformed views are amplified by social media networks that reward those who spark outrage instead of insight or thoughtful discussion.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>The Conversation U.S. seeks to be part of the solution to this problem, <strong>to raise up the voices of true experts and to make their knowledge available to everyone.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Read that excerpt again. The arrogance is as glaring as the blissful lack of awareness as to how much public trust the professional academic and journalistic classes have forfeited due to the very sentiments expressed here.<\/p>\n<p>Predictably, The Conversation US, partner of the Associated Press, is <a href=\"https:\/\/theconversation.com\/us\/partners\">fully tainted by<\/a> leftist and globalist Big Money.<\/p>\n<p>Gates Foundation? <a href=\"https:\/\/theconversation.com\/us\/partners\/the-bill-and-melinda-gates-foundation\">Check<\/a>. Radical Ford Foundation? <a href=\"https:\/\/theconversation.com\/us\/partners\/the-ford-foundation\">Check.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In its tidy bio of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2022\/08\/27\/ford-foundation-spending-100-million-amnesty-mass-migration\/\">rabidly leftist<\/a> Ford Foundation, The Conversation US expressly praises its commitment to \u201csocial change\u201d:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>For more than 80 years it has worked with courageous people <strong>on the frontlines of social change<\/strong> worldwide, guided by its mission to strengthen democratic values, reduce poverty and injustice, promote international cooperation, and advance human achievement.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This is the power nexus that has fully absorbed the Associated Press.<\/p>\n<p>No truly neutral observer would describe a media organization financially indebted to these agenda-driven, heavyweight moneyed influencers as \u201cindependent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Yet here is the AP describing itself at the bottom of a Dec. 13 press release <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ap.org\/press-releases\/2023\/ap-the-chronicle-of-philanthropy-the-conversation-renew-collaboration-to-bolster-coverage-of-nonprofit-world\">celebrating<\/a> its latest cash infusion from Big Philanthropy Inc.:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>The Associated Press is an <strong>independent global news organization dedicated to factual reporting. <\/strong>Founded in 1846, AP today\u202fremains\u202fthe most trusted source of fast,\u202faccurate, unbiased news in all formats and the essential provider of the technology and services vital to the news business. More than half the world\u2019s population sees AP journalism every day.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>One can think of 1,829,815 reasons to chuckle. Alas, that figure does not begin to scratch the surface of the spider web of compromise entangling establishment journalism today.
