\nCalifornia Democrat politicians\u2019 lust for power is much like the Eagles epic tune about addiction, \u201cyou can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a post to LinkedIn, veteran and former U.S. commercial diplomat Robert Adams notes that, in 2019, California Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom \u201cout of thin air\u201d created the taxpayer-funded Office of the First Partner.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot \u2018First Lady.\u2019 Not \u2018Spouse of the Governor.\u2019 No \u2014 \u2018Partner.\u2019 Because, you know, woke,\u201d Adams notes.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut here\u2019s the kicker: this office didn\u2019t serve California\u2019s people. It didn\u2019t improve education, lower crime, reduce homelessness, or help struggling families.<\/p>\n

\u201cNope.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt just existed\u2026 to give Gavin\u2019s wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, a government salary.\u201d<\/p>\n

What Newsom did essentially was \u201claundered millions through his own wife,\u201d Adams added. \u201cAnd used your tax dollars to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Newsom\u2019s \u201cfirst partner\u201d gets a salary \u2026 and much more.<\/p>\n

\u201cThrough shady budget allocations and backdoor deals, Newsom funneled over $5 million in taxpayer funds to bankroll Jennifer\u2019s pet projects, private ventures, and personal branding campaigns,\u201d Adams wrote. \u201cLet that sink in.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Adams continued, \u201cCalifornia\u2019s cities are crumbling. Homeless encampments have turned once-great towns into tent-filled drug dens. The middle class is fleeing the state in record numbers. Gas prices and taxes are sky high. Crime is exploding. Businesses are shutting down. Families are struggling.\u201d<\/p>\n

Newsom often lectures about equity, fairness, and \u201cprotecting democracy\u201d while \u201cstuffing his own family\u2019s pockets with public money,\u201d Adams wrote.<\/p>\n

Major media, to no one\u2019s surprise, is silent.<\/p>\n

Newsom isn\u2019t just the Golden State\u2019s governor, he is the Left\u2019s \u201cgolden boy for 2028. So no hard questions. No primetime expos\u00e9s. No accountability,\u201d Adams wrote.<\/p>\n

Adams continued: \u201cImagine for a moment if a Republican governor \u2014 let\u2019s say Ron DeSantis or Greg Abbott \u2014 had made up a fake government office, staffed it with his wife, and funneled $5 million in public funds directly to her private film projects.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou think CNN would ignore that?<\/p>\n

\u201cYou think The New York Times wouldn\u2019t have it on the front page?<\/p>\n

\u201cYou think MSNBC wouldn\u2019t spend 24 hours crying about fascism, nepotism, and fraud?\u201d<\/p>\n

American leftists don\u2019t \u201ccare about corruption unless they can use it to attack conservatives,\u201d Adams concluded. \u201cThey don\u2019t care about democracy unless they\u2019re losing power. And they don\u2019t care about accountability \u2014 unless it\u2019s aimed at their enemies.<\/p>\n

\u201cGavin Newsom used the power of government to enrich his own household.\u00a0That\u2019s not leadership. That\u2019s looting.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd if Democrats truly believed in \u2018following the money,\u2019 they\u2019d be the ones leading the investigation. But they won\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n

California Democrats, you can stab them with your steely knives but you just can\u2019t kill the beast.<\/p>\n
