Democrats are livid that President Donald Trump and Health and Human Services (HHS) secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. have begun to clean house at the CDC.<\/p>\n

Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts said of the Trump team: \u201cThese fools can\u2019t be trusted with your health.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"\"Sen. Parry Murray of Washington state accused Kennedy of taking \u201cutterly reckless steps to dismantle our public health infrastructure.\u201d<\/p>\n

Realists point to exactly what those CDC officials who were \u201ctrusted\u201d to ensure our \u201cpublic health\u201d during the Covid pandemic wrought.<\/p>\n

In a Sept. 2 analysis for Just Facts Daily, James D. Agresti noted following:<\/p>\n

In 2021, the CDC told school officials to impose \u201cphysical distancing\u201d requirements of \u201cat least 6 feet,\u201d \u201crequire universal and correct use of masks,\u201d \u201cclosely and regularly monitor the numbers of students, teachers, and staff with Covid-19,\u201d and consider closing \u201cclassrooms or schools\u201d that have \u201can active outbreak,\u201d even though Sweden had already:<\/p>\n

\u2022 kept its schools open with 1.95 million children the prior spring without class-size reductions, masking, or vaccines.
\n\u2022 experienced zero child Covid deaths over this period.
\n\u2022 had an ICU admission rate for teachers that was half that of other professions.
\n\u2022 experienced no difference with Finland in the incidence of C-19 infections among school-aged children, even though Finland closed its schools.<\/p>\n

In 2022, the CDC claimed that \u201cCovid-19 is a leading cause of death in children,\u201d even though:<\/p>\n

\u2022 in 2021, the journal Nature Medicine published a study of children who \u201cdied from\u201d C-19 as opposed to \u201cthose who died of another cause but were coincidentally infected with the virus\u201d and found that C-19 took the lives of two out of every million children in England during the first year of the pandemic.
\n\u2022 children in the U.S. were five times more likely to die of drowning and 36 times more likely to die of accidents than the real Covid death rate of two in a million.<\/p>\n

The CDC aggressively promoted masking, even though:<\/p>\n

\u2022 an analysis of CDC mask studies published by the American Journal of Medicine in 2023 found that \u201cthe level of evidence generated was low and the conclusions were most often unsupported by the data.\u201d
\n\u2022 no gold standard study ever found that masks save lives.
\n\u2022 dozens of studies show that masks cause significant harm.<\/p>\n

The CDC alleged that Covid-19 was a \u201cpandemic of the unvaccinated\u201d while more than 50% of Covid deaths were occurring among the fully vaccinated.<\/p>\n

The CDC claimed that \u201cCovid-19 vaccines have undergone\u201d the \u201cmost intensive safety monitoring in U.S. history\u201d and recommended them to \u201call children, including children who have already had Covid-19,\u201d even though the vaccine clinical trials:<\/p>\n

\u2022 did not enroll enough children to show any clinically meaningful benefits like preventing severe Covid-19, hospitalization, or death.
\n\u2022 needed to be 400,000 times larger\/longer to determine if the vaccines save more toddlers and preschoolers than they kill
\n\u2022 excluded children who were apt to have serious adverse reactions to the vaccines, but some still experienced fevers up to 105.4 \u00baF, eye-rolling seizures, convulsions, limping, and a \u201csevere\u201d decline in white blood cells that creates the \u201crisk of overwhelming infection.\u201d<\/p>\n

The CDC claimed without evidence in June 2022 that \u201cour cells break down mRNA from these vaccines and get rid of it within a few days after vaccination,\u201d even though:<\/p>\n

\u2022 three months before that, the journal Cell published a study which \u201cdetected vaccine mRNA collected in the GCs [germinal centers] of LNs [lymph nodes] on days 7, 16, and 37 postvaccination, with lower but still appreciable specific signal at day 60.\u201d
\n\u2022 the study did not look beyond 60 days, so the mRNA may remain even longer.<\/p>\n

The CDC claimed in 2023 that \u201ceveryone age 6 months and older\u201d should receive \u201can updated Covid-19 vaccine\u201d to prevent \u201cdeath,\u201d even though:<\/p>\n

\u2022 no clinical trial found that mRNA Covid vaccines save more lives than they take.
\n\u2022 naturally acquired immunity creates strong and lasting protection against serious harms of the disease.
\n\u2022 Covid deaths enduringly plunged after nearly everyone caught the disease, not when vaccines were deployed.<\/p>\n

Agresti noted: \u201cNone of these CDC failures were a result of \u2018evolving science\u2019 but of callous disregard for readily available facts. As a result, countless people were killed and harmed physically, financially, educationally, and emotionally.\u201d<\/p>\n
