Though the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) appears both unwilling and unable to militarily save its ally and proxy the Iranian Islamist-terror regime from near total destruction from an American and Israeli military onslaught triggered by Iran’s nuclear weapons program, China’s propaganda organs are working overtime to conjure any face-saving news.

Thanks to Chinese missile technology and surveillance systems, on March 27, 2026 an Iranian missile was able to destroy a U.S. Air Force E-3 airborne warning and control system (AWACS) radar aircraft at Prince Sultan Airbase in Saudi Arabia.

After a 32-day missile campaign until March 31, Iran has launched 1,690 ballistic missiles and 4,370 drones for a total campaign volume of 6,060 missile strikes, spread across Israel, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Oatar, Oman, and with missiles launched at Cyprus and Turkey.

These missile strikes have as of March 31 killed at least 13 U.S. soldiers and have wounded about 300 more, and a total of 50 to 60 have been killed in Israel and the Gulf States.

But the United States is not unaware of China’s and Russia’s assistance to Iran; on March 31 Secretary of War Pete Hegseth told reporters:

“As far as Russia and China, we know exactly what they’re doing, what they are or are not doing…We don’t have to air publicly what all of that is, but where necessary, we’re addressing it and we’re mitigating it and or we’re confronting it head on.”

Falling just short of actually taking credit for Iran’s missile and drone campaign against United States military forces, Israel and the Gulf States, on March 30 in reaction to Iran’s March 27 missile attack that destroyed a U.S. Air Force E-3 airborne warning and control system (AWACS) radar aircraft in Saudi Arabia, the Chinese state media Global Times printed a story lauding the accuracy of Iran’s missiles.

The article written by Liang Rui and Liu Xuanzun was titled “US E-3 reportedly destroyed in Iranian strike; Chinese expert dissects Iran’s intelligence,” and opened stating:

“A Chinese expert told the Global Times on Monday that the strike reflects how Iran orchestrates its intelligence-to-strike chain, from real-time surveillance to the rapid engagement of time-sensitive assets.

The expert noted that the precision and destructive effect suggest advances in weapon guidance, while the timing of the attack shows how Teheran has maintained operational tempo despite weeks of airstrikes.”
